As part of the Gen X population growing up, we were the first to be exposed to the internet through dial up modems, experienced firsthand the change and use of technology from Nokia phones to smartphones and are now part the sandwich generation.
Changes in life expectancy, improvements in healthcare technology, rampant use of technology in our daily lives and the rate of demand outpacing supply has led us to realize that certain changes or improvements to our lifestyles can help to improve the coordination of care, mental health issues and building resilience.
While caring for our aged grandparents and parents, we have identified certain gaps that could be improved and sustained over long periods of caring for them. Moreover, our children are exposed to social media norms that while are a form of entertainment to that, are also a source of mental health issues that needs to be addressed.
Omphalos was founded on the principle: To embrace slow living. We offer products and services that would help to improve on the quality of care, quality of life and mental health. Together with our partners, we aim to build a hub to provide solutions for social, community, health and education.
